Prabhu Deva signs up Vadivelu in his new Tamil film – Cinema Today






It seems that ace comedian Vadivelu’s boycott by the film industry is well and truly over. After more than three-and-a-half years, Vadivelu would have his first release when Tenaliraman which hits the screens on 18th April. The film has been produced by AGS Entertainment and has been directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan. D. Imman has scored the film’s music.

Tenaliraman is facing problems prior to its release as some Telugu organizations are adamant in ensuring that the film doesn’t release as they allege that the character essayed by Vadivelu in the film is degrading King Krishna Devaraya. Even as the issue hasn’t yet been settled, Vadivelu has been signed up to star in his next film in his comeback innings.

Vadivelu, who had earlier said that he’d play the lead role in another film after the release of Tenaliraman, has said that he is also open to playing the comedin in films. He is in talks with at least 4-5 directors and has just okayed Prabhu Deva’s next directorial venture in Tamil. After a long hiatus, Prabhu Deva would be directing a Tamil film for which he has signed up Vadivel as the comedian.

Vadivelu, who has starred in many films in which Prabhu Deva has played the hero in the past, had also starred in some films directed by Vadivelu. His comedy track was very popular in Deva’s films such as Pokkiri and Villu. As such, audiences can expect another laugh riot now that Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu have joined hands again.
