Amala Paul to quit films post-wedding – kollywood Update
Actress Amala Paul might soon be quitting films after her marriage to director A.L. Vijay which is slated for 12th June in Chennai. Reportedly Vijay’s family doesn’t favour her continuance as an actress after marriage.
Amala Paul, one of the promising actresses of the younger generation who has oodles of oomph as well as acting prowess, managed to change her highly-controversial beginning in Kollywood into an advantageous situation for her. Her role in Sindhu Samaveli had critics in full flow opposing the film but soon afterwards, Amala landed up the offer to play the lead role in Prabhu Solomon’s Mynaa and made it as a frontline actress.
Amala’s latest film was the successful Nimirnthu Nil in which she paired up opposite ‘Jayam’ Ravi. She has a couple of projects in Tamil including Samuthirakani’s next film which has her essaying interesting role(s); she is also Dhanush’s heroine in the latter’s home production Velaiyilla Pattadhari. She also appears in ‘guest role’ in Parthiepan’s Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam.
She also has projects in Telugu and Malayalam and is said to be working over time to complete her pending projects before June so as to get prepared for her marriage.
