Deepika Padukone, who is riding high in her career with back-to-back blockbusters like ‘Race 2’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Ram Leela’ has reportdely increased her endorsement fee from Rs 6 crore to 7.5 crores per brand endorsement. Deepika is currently endorsing over 10 brands including Nescafe, Yamaha, Tissot Watch, ITC’s Fiama DI Wills, Garnier, Sony Cybershot, Orbit, Neutorgena Fine Fairness and Coca Cola.
“No actress has quoted an amount as big as this and received it as well. Only Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are paid as exorbitantly,” says an ad agency founder.
The ad guru adds that thanks to the perception that Deepika can help enhance a brand’s market value, she is in a position to state her price. “It’s commendable for an actress to hold her own in an industry that is supposed to be male dominated,” points out a trade analyst.
Even Deepika is the highest paid actress when it comes to film assignments. She is quoting Rs 8-12 crore per film in the recent past.
